Guion Line steamship built 1883 at Glasgow by John Elder and Co. Taken over by the Cunard Line 1884. On March 14, 1886 she collided with an unknown wooden schooner while approaching New York and sank. All 641 passengers and 255 crew were saved by the North German Lloyd steamer Fulda. This image is from an old engraving dated 1884. The original measures ca. 23 x 13 cm.
