Allan Line sisters built 1858 - 1859 at Dumbarton by William Denny and Co. All of these steamer were ill fated, with exception of the Nova Scotian which sailed with emigrants between Europe and North America for as long as 34 years. The North Briton was wrecked in 1861, the Hungarian in 1861 (237 lives lost) and the Bohemian in 1864 (20 lives lost). This image is from an old CDV advertising card.
