Allan Line steamship built 1904 at Belfast, Ireland by Workman, Clark Co. Ltd. Launched on Aug. 25th as the first turbine steamer on the North Atlantic. In 1914 she became an armed merchant auxiliary cruiser in the 10th Cruiser Squadron. Taken over by the Canadian Pacific Line in 1917, and in 1922 renamed "Marloch".
