Allan Line steamship built 1882 at Hull, England by Earles Shipbuilding Engineering Co. The Pomeranian was used by the Allan Line for transatlantic conveyance of emigrants from 1887 till ca. 1914. Mainly between Liverpool or Glasgow to Canadian and North American ports. She had accommodation for a large number of steerage passengers. This image is from an old photo postcard.
