Canadian (2)

Allan Line steamship built 1859 at Greenock by Robert Steele & Co. On this old photo the ship is seen at Glasgow. On Jun 4, 1861 the "Canadian" sank in 30 minutes after she ran into ice in the Straits of Belle Isle while on way from Quebec to Liverpool. One lifeboat capsized and 35 lives were lost.
