Sparndam - ex Arabic (1)

This steamship was built 1881 at Belfast by Harland & Wolff for the White Star Line. The ship was launched as the "Asiatic" but was handed over as "Arabic (1)". In 1890 she was sold to the Holland America Line and renamed Spaarndam The image is from an old photo.
