La Bretagne - pre 1895

French Line steamship built 1886 by C.G.T. at St. Nazaire. This image shows the ship as she appeared before she was rebuilt and masts reduced to two in 1895. The La Bretagne ran with emigrants and other passengers between Havre and New York for the C.G.T. - Compagnie Générale Transatlantique (French Line). This image is from an old print.
