Ferdinand de Lesseps

French Line steamship built 1875 at Glasgow by A. & J. Inglis, originally as the "Stad Haarlem" for the Royal Netherlands. In February 1879 she was chartered to the New Zealand Shipping Co. In September 1879 she sailed her first voyage on the Marseilles - Panama service. In April 1881 she served on the Marseilles to New York service. Scrapped 1911. This image is from an old postcard.
