Thingvalla Line steamships Amerika (built 1872 at Belfast by Harland & Wolff as the Celtic for the White Star Line) in the background on the channel and the Norge (built 1881 at Glasgow by Alexander Stephen & Sons. as the "Pieter de Coninck" for the Engels Line) moored at Larsen Plads in Copenhagen. Larsens Plads was where the Thingvalla Line steamships embarked passengers and is located between the Amaleienborg Palace and the channel near "Kvesthusbroen". This image is from an old postcard, and has the words "Hilsen fra København - Amalienborg Plads" printed on it.
