State of Georgia

State Line steamship built 1873 at Glasgow by London & Glasgow Co. Ltd. This ship sailed with emigrants on the route between Glasgow and New York from 1873 till 1891, when she was taken over by Allan Line. The ship had accommodation for about 80 first-class (cabin), 30 second-class (cabin), and 500 third-class or steerage passengers. This image is from an old print measuring ca. 21 x 14 cm.
