Cunard Line steamship built 1907 at Glasgow by Fairfield Shipbuilding & Eng. Co. Ltd. as the "Heliopolis" for British owners. Taken over and renamed "Royal George" by the Royal Line (Canadian Northern Steamships Ltd.) in 1910 to serve on Avonmouth - Quebec - Montreal service. Became a war transport in 1914.
