Furnessia - pre 1891

Anchor Line steamship built 1880 at Barrow by Barrow Shipbuilding Co. The Furnessia sailed with emigrants and other passengers between Glasgow and New York. On this picture the ship is seen with two funnels as she appeared before she was re-engined and rebuilt in 1891. This image is from an old photo card. For more ship history see: S/S Furnessia
