Sierra Ventana (1)

Norddeutscher Lloyd steamship built 1912 at Vegesack by Bremer Vulcan. She was chartered by the German Admiralty on 26 August 1914 and converted into a hospital ship. On 19 November 1918 she was returned to the North German Lloyd. She was transferred as reparations to France in 1920 for Cie. Sudatlantique, Bordeaux and was renamed “Alba”. In 1926 she was purchased by Chargeurs Reunis, Bordeaux and was renamed “Amerique”. In 1936 she was scrapped at Blyth. This image is from an old postcard.
