Interiors of the Hamburg America Line steamships Herder, Lessing, Wieland and Gellert, all built as identical sisters between 173 and 1874 at Glasgow by Alexander Stephen & Sons for the Adler Line. They were taken over by the Hamburg America Line in 1875. This image was printed in an old booklet and shows the 1st cabin saloon (x 2), second cabin saloon and steerage.
