Hamburg America Line steamship built 1868 at Greenock by Caird & Co. This image shows a sectional view of the ship, and the steamer at sea. Originally, the Westphalia was fitted with a single funnel, but it was rebuilt in 1878, during which a second funnel was added. This steamer mainly sailed with emigrants and other passengers between Hamburg and New York, calling at other European ports on the way. This image was printed in an old booklet.
