Ohio

American Line steamship built 1872 at Philadelphia by W. Cramp Sons. This ship sailed with emigrants between Liverpool and Philadelphia. This image is from an old print based on a painting, and shows the ship as she appeared when launched in 1872. The original print measures ca. 29 x 20 cm. The Ohio was an identical sister of the S/S Pennsylvania, the S/S Illinois and the S/S Indiana. The S/S Ohio was rebuilt in 1887.
