City of Montreal - at fire

Inman Line steamship built 1871 at Glasgow by Tod & McGregor. In 1887 the ship caught fire at sea. The passengers and crew were rescued by the S/S York City of the Furness Line. This image wes printed in the London Illustrated News, August 27, 1887. For more ship history see: S/S City of Montreal
