Vancouver - pre 1892

Dominion Line steamship built 1884 at Glasgow, Scotland by Charles Connell Co. This image shows the ship as she was originally built with two funnels. The second funnel was removed when the ship was rebuilt with triple expansion engines in 1892. The ship mainly sailed with emigrants and passengers between Liverpool and Quebec or Halifax, occasionally also Portland. This image is from an old postcard. For more ship history see: S/S Vancouver
