Germanic - pre 1895

White Star Line steamship built 1874 at Belfast by Harland & Wolff. This ship was the identical sister of the Britannic (1) which was also built 1874. On this photo the ship is seen with the shorter funnels she had before she was rebuilt and fitted with new engines in 1895, when the funnels were hightened and and extra deck was built.
