White Star Line steamship, built 1872 at Belfast by Harland and Wolff. The Adriatic (1) made several record breaking voyages across the Atlantic. The ship mainly sailed with emigrants and other passengers between Liverpool and new York, calling at Queenstown to take on additional Irish emigrants on the way.
