White Star Line steamship built 1901 at Belfast by Harland & Wolff. The Celtic (2) mainly sailed with emigrants and other passengers on the route between Liverpool and New York. On this old postcard the Celtic is seen arriving New York with returning soldiers from WW1, many of them wounded. They were met by Red Cross representatives. For more ship history see: S/S Celtic (2)
