Elbe

Norddeutscher Lloyd steamship built 1881 at Glasgow by John Elder & Co. This ship sailed with emigrants and other passengers between Bremen and New York. This image is from an old photo and shows the ship with buff colored funnels as an express steamer. The image is probably from her maiden voyage. For more ship history see: S/S Elbe
