Norddeutscher Lloyd steamship built 1866 at Greenock by Caird Co. This ship sailed with emigrants on the route between Bremen, Southampton and New York from 1866 till 1875. The ship was wrecked on Goodwin Sands 1875, more then 50 passengers and crew were lost. This image is from an old engraving measuring ca. 23 x 17 cm. For more ship history see: S/S Deutschland
