Norddeutscher Lloyd steamship built 1890 at Stettin by AG Vulcan as the "Spree". The Spree was lengthened and converted to a twin screw steamer with 1 extra funnel added, masts reduced to 2, and renamed "Kaiserin Maria Theresia" 1898. On this image which is from an old postcard the ship is seen at Bremerhaven, the "Lloydhalle" in the background. For more ship history see: S/S Spree.
