Rhein (2)

Norddeutscher Lloyd steamship built 1899 at Hamburg by Blohm Voss. The "Rhein" was the first of 3 almost identical sister, often referred to as the "Rhein class". These steamships were built to meet the special requirements of the freight and steerage passenger traffic on the Bremen - New York service. The 3 other sisters were the "Neckar" and "Main".
