Heritage-Ships provides high-quality digital images of historic emigrant ships, ocean liners, and maritime history.

The collection includes photographs of well-known steamships from renowned lines such as the Cunard Line and White Star Line, as well as rare and lesser-known vessels that carried emigrants from ports across Europe to destinations around the world.

All images are sourced from the Norway Heritage Collection, an extensive archive developed through more than three decades of dedicated research and documentation. The material includes historic photographs, postcards, engravings, prints, posters, and other original paper artifacts.

Many images have been carefully digitized and restored from original historical sources. This process often includes the correction of fading, stains, scratches, and other age-related defects while preserving the authenticity of the original image.

Our images are suitable for collectors, researchers, historians, authors, publishers, genealogists, and anyone with an interest in maritime history, genealogy, and transatlantic migration.

High-resolution digital images are available for download in JPEG format or Google Drive download link in TIFF format. The images and are supplied without watermarks. Only the preview images contain watermarks.
