Mount Vernon - ex Kronprinzessin Cecilie

Norddeutscher Lloyd steamship built 1906 at Stettin by AG Vulcan. This image is from an old photograph of the ship after she was seized by the U.S. during WW1. On this picture she was taken in use as a United States Army Transport under the name "Mount Vernoen". The photo was taken as the "U.S.A.T. Mt. Vernon" was alongside Pier 6, Cristobal, where she had disembarked a contingenst of Czechoslovakians. For more ship history see: S/S Kronprinzessin Cecilie
